British boxing coach Terry Edwards accused the judges of bias
after bantamweight Joe Murray lost to China's Gu Yu, 17-7 on
points.

I thought Murray lost fair and square? I thought it was about 17-7 (ish', wasn't scoring every punch), but it all seemed fair to me? |

Murray didn't look great, and I think a little bit of favouratism has to be expected.
Gu deserved to win, and he did, so that's the important thing.
"You expect a slight bias but they gave the Chinese guy a point for everything"
I sort of felt like that watching it though. |

| I watched it and scored it myself, I got 20-10 higher score but same difference in points. I know the commentary team said "ohh that should have scored" etc but that has happened in most of the fights, remember its 5 judges and 3 must press the button within a second of each other. The GB team will gurn about this for weeks but I my mind he got beat fair and square. |

Definate win for the Chinese boy.
There can be no gripes there, imo. |

| Gu Yu was by afr the better boxer, I hope Murray sticks by what he said and stay Ama till 2012, maybe he will have more luck in his own backyard as he put it. |

The scoring is terrible. Only seen a few clips of the Murray fight so not referring to that.
Whoever goes into the ring as favourite seems to score the most points in the 1st round while the opponent can clearly land and score nothing. |

| I thoght Gu won pretty clearly - was disappointed with Murray's performance and more so with the fuss the team made since. I don't think there is any room to complain if you've lost even if you think you should have lost by less, complaining should be left for when there has been a clear reversal of result and this didnt occur. |
