What do you guys think Chuck should do now?
He is my favourite UFC fighter of all time, but he's getting old and he's well past his prime, which is a shame.

I hear talk of his going all out and fighting Anderson Silva - which I think would be pointless as the outcome is obvious. He loves to fight, but I think he should have retired after fighting and beating Wanderlei Silva.
If I had my way, I'd like to see him fight Ortiz one last time. It would be a big fight that I reckon a lot of people would wanna see, given how much they hated each other.

I'd like to see him retire mate, after going through everybody he's been done over a few times now & I can only see it happening again, he seems like a cool guy so would like to see him pack it in, a fight with Ortiz I wouldn't be too worried about though, as long as he fights guys who are past their best too lol & I reckon he's got Tito's number anyway.

Retire. I hate seeing him lose and think his 'edge' is gone. Fighters used to be scared, he no longer has that factor.

That's a very good point you've made - fighters used to be scared of Chuck, but not anymore. He used to be really dangerous and his punch power was really intense, but he's slower and doesn't land as good as he used to (punches, not on the octagon floor!)

Chuck really does love to fight, and I think he'll struggle when he retires. Dana would probably give him a decent job working alongside him I reckon, because they are good friends.

I'm not the biggest fan of the UFC but i think chuck is one of the main reasons that it has became as successful as it has, i hope he retires, and like seer says takes to training fighters instead.

he should retire most definately. but he wont, so therefore i think he should fight anderson silva. liddell could ko anyone so if he beats silva, he gets his title shot at forrest (who i think he beats). but if he loses, then he loses to the best mma fighter in the world.

I'd have agreed a few years ago, but think Forrest would make Liddell look stupid, I always thought that Forrests beard worried me that he would be too brave for his own good, but now would see Forrest taking little and giving Liddell a drawn out hiding.

Dana liked him because he made him great money. Chuck liked him because he earned more per fight than any other fighter int he organization (10X more than some). Take that away I doubt they'll be friends...

As for what Chuck will do, I know he has already gone down the path of the delluded beaten fighter...I X wrong, next time I just have to do Y. Now is time to properly dedicate myself to the sport... I think he will kid himself he hasnt slipped for a few more fights yet.

i agree, i think their relationship is more about money than actual friendship.

who do you think he will fight next though, if he does?

A fight against Silva for him would be laughable. I would actually feel a bit sorry for him going into that. Not only that, but he does not deserve it at all. There are bigger names in the 205 division who are higher up the pecking-order.

I might be wrong but I just don't see him as a trainer as his style is perhaps becoming a little outdated

No, they are genuine friends. They go way back before Dana became president of the UFC. The mutual respect they have is tremendous. Partley because Chuck knows just how much Dana has done for the sport. People hate him but what he's done is miraculous.
