Not bad bud! I have had the day off (I have been working solidly for the past week!)
I just bought myself a new Apple Macbook! It was only released last week!
http://www.apple.com/uk/macbook/
I took my mum and sister out to lunch, not a bad place but I should have had the mussels.
I also bought myself a pair of Levis, reduced from £90 to £27!! Get in!! :D
So all in all, today was not a bad day! :)
As for my taps, as healthy as a horse! Not a drip!! |

Bought them from the Levi's store bud.
No idea why they were cheap, it said that they had a 70% sale on. Thought that I would have a browse and they had loads. These ones just caught my eye. Having said that, I must have around 30 pairs of jeans now!! |

Well, this evening's 5-a-side was eventful.
Our best player was missing with a heel injury and we were facing a new team who had got tanked 25-0 the previous week. I was playing outfield and contrary to all logic I was often playing UPFRONT! (I can play quite well in defence but as soon as I have to go forwards, there's comedy to be had - goalkeeper is my best position by miles at fives).
Very slippery pitch and the standard of football was absolutely shite. It could have been a battle between the Guide Dogs for the Blind invitational side and the Scope Allstars.
I missed a penalty when hitting it too straight at the keeper - we got it after their defender slipped, but in doing so I tried kicking the ball away and we succeeded in booting each other's feet and I fell right over the top of him.
We were 4-1 up at half-time and probably couldn't play any worse. They were apparently - by their standards - playing quite well.
After a veritable melange of misplaced passes, goalkeeper fumbles, screaming piledrivers clearing the fence by twenty feet (yup, that was usually me) or hitting one of your own players (me again) two gloriously silly things happened at the end.
Firstly, our biggest player Danny (at full-back) tried one of his surging runs up the wing and was chased by two of their players. One of them bounced off him, the other blocked his route, all three fell backwards and clattered into the referee (combined weight of at least 45 stones I'd have thought), who fell straight down without breaking his fall and bruised his shoulder.
Then, after copping a load of stick for being the only one that hadn't scored, in the very last minute I did. Admittedly it was an unconvincing turn and I knocked the ball a little too far ahead of myself, so I decided to hit a first-timer with my supposedly weaker left foot.
In a scene that probably came out of the movie "My Left Foot" and which also summed up my role as a player of the aforementioned "Scope Allstars" I fell over whilst swinging my left foot and ended up sliding into and sort of shovelling the ball into the bottom-left hand corner.
The rest of the team joined me on the floor. Laughing their fecking heads off. Still, I scored. And we won 10-1. |

| Actually, that goal I scored - if Duffie remembers the hilarious goal Jon Newsome scored against Blackburn all those years ago where he turned to hit a shot and in the end kicked it with both feet into the roof of the net, I did a very similar thing, but my right foot was behind my left as it gave way. |
