On Friday Audley Harrison will enter the ring at the ExCel Arena against little-known Scott Belshaw knowing he has three fights to save his boxing career. Harrison has now lost four times in his 27-fight career.
Be interesting to hear Gareths take on how Scott has been preparing but im sure the last time we spoke he didnt rate his chances too much.
I think Audley knows how to play the game, he wont be intimidated by the size of Belshaw and can see him either stopping him or just grinding out a ponints win.
I don't know a couple of the novice guys but think Harrison has a good chance at winning this. Would love to see Dannyboy spark him out in the final though.

Sadly I can see Harrison winning this which means only one thing - yet more mouthing off from the horrible gobshite in they year to come. He'll be telling us all he is going to be world champ by the time he's 40 you watch.
Can't believe after wasting a million quid of license payers money on him after Sydney the Beeb are still paying their "journalists" to write articles about this chump.

Who cares? It's prizefighter, the whole thing is utterly meaningless because it's a fucking novelty tournament. Proper fights or not at all, please.

Such a shame Micheal Sprott had to withdraw. I honestly would have had him to win it. Harrison will try and grind out points wins all the way through. The format might actually suit him as it's closer to Amatuer boxing.
That being said even if he wins the entire thing it'll make no difference, other than an increase in volume from Harrison who was now, I have read, only two fights away from being world champion before events outside of the ring conspired to rob him of his chance!

Belshaw is a different fighter / person now to what he was against Fury. the Fury fight was offered 3 days after he couldnt get an opponent on the rogan bill. He was down hearted with the game and ready for quitting. Belshaw has been in London doing some serious training and knows that this IS his last chance at a serious boxing career. Lose this and he might as well get a 9-5 job.
Coleman Barret is one to watch, real slippy customer, not a great boxer or big puncher but for a big man he can make himself very small and elusive.
As for my opinion on Belshaw in this compo ? I'll not be saying until belshaw shows me his bookies docket, if he genuinely believes in himself them he stands a bloody good chance. If he goes in scared and worried about the more experienced guy then he has lost before he starts. Belshaw is still a baby heavyweight so even after a defeat to Fury this could relaunch his career.

I'm the same. I was gonna bung a few quid on Sprott before he pulled out. There's a gulf in the level of opposition he's been mixing with over the last few years compared to the other 7 guys. And Sprott doesn't exactly turn up to get knocked out either, he mixes with them well.
With the absence of Sprott I just don't know who to pick now.
