Martin Rogan expects to reclaim the Commonwealth heavyweight title when he fights Sam Sexton in Belfast's Odyssey Arena on Friday night. Sexton is equally confident & believes being 13yrs younger than Rogan will make a difference in the ring.
Since M'Baye pulled out, Rogan-Sexton is the card all eyes are on - except skysports
Martin they're showing both the McCloskey & Rogan fights now mate, it'll probably be only those two fights but I'm just glad we're getting to see the heavyweight rematch

Sam Sexton stops Martin Rogan to retain Commonwealth title
Rogan produced a brave display but was pulled out by his corner after Sexton dominated the 6th round in Belfast. After a brutal contest, Rogan said that he had been hampered by a neck injury which he had sustained in his last fight.

Had a good night with Todd, if anyone ever gets the chance to meet Graham Todd and his father in law Kevin defo meet up with them.
Rogan quit, Belfast boxers DONT quit never quit they go out on their backs, I think this is down to a change of camp, should have stayed with Breen Team.

Rogan finally got stopped by a Boxer.
Simple as that really. I like Rogan but hes always been terribly one dimensional. If a fighter stands and trades with him then Rogans got a great chance but if you Box him hes going to suffer and thats exactly what happened.
rogans so unlucky not still to have a unbeaten record still , if he didnt stop punching in fight 1 there prob wouldnt of been a rematch. gareth any ideas whos next for rogan?

I thought there was a big difference between the Rogan we've all seen in the past to the one we saw last week, he looked like he's come to the end of the road & that good little spell he was having in his career is over, would love to be wrong as he's a likeable big guy but when a guy like Rogan quits in the corner...

Cheers mate , likewise.
Aye was a really good night, the undercard was pretty good. I think I want to see the TV replay of the Rogan fight before i comment too much but from where we were it was very odd. Rogan had a cracking 5th but seemed to be gassed. Sexton came back in the 6th and that was that.
As Barry said the idea of someone like Rogan who is known for his heart just quitting is unthinkable. That said I wouldnt mind hearing of some proof of the injury.
