Two things: southpaw stance and speed.
I watched Mayweather-Judah the other day when I had some spare time (which is probably the best comparison you'll get). I forgot just how lost Mayweather was against Judah in the first 5 rounds. Mayweather couldn't deal with any space between them because Judah was landing almost every shot with ease, so Mayweather was diving forward and just holding on. Jim Lampley started making jokes and referring to Floyd Mayweather as 'John Ruiz'. Mayweather couldn't see the punches coming because of the speed they were coming at him, and the angles (southpaw) they were coming from.
Judah is a notorious front runner, but falls apart as the fight goes on. It's evident throughout his entire career. Pacquiao is a southpaw with as much speed and power, but minus the psychological frailties and an ability to fight 100% for all 3 minutes of all 12 rounds. Sure, Pacquiao will be giving away weight, size, strength, etc, against Mayweather.. But that southpaw stance and that speed will overcome.

Why would you use Oscar Larios as thee only example, considering you could have used bigger punchers as examples, i.e,. Morales, Barrera, Hatton, De La Hoya?

Spite, mainly
But seriously - Hatton, sparked immediatelym, DLH, barely able to lift his arms, Morales shot to bits in two of their three fights, Larios not a puncher at the best of times, much less at the higher weight, etc etc. Marquez is one of the few opponents he's had who's been in any way effective against him - thus how the hell do we know what his chin's like?

Manny hasn't had one fight at 147 yet. I think his power will still be exceptional, but not so sure about his chin. He can make his muscles bigger but his skull isn't changing any. Besides, Mayweather is a sharp but not overpowering puncher so it's not such a big factor in any possibly Manny-Money fight. It will be a factor against Cotto, so let's use that as a guide.
