I can't remember if his words were "hurt" or "broke" but regardless.... I just think it was for him to save face after he said he'll KO the big waste of space.

Haye smacked Valuev flush on the side of the head near the end of round two. The Russian giant didn't even blink. The look of concern on Haye's face was obvious. Fair play to him for not panicking and more for having the ability to change tactics.

This is an interesting take... didn't see any of that myself. But, change? tactics... Tactics looked the same throughout the fight to me.

I enjoyed the fight, but not sure it was exciting enough for me to sit through it again tbh. Otherwise i'd go look!

Edit: Decided to watch Rd2 again. I see what you mean, Definately didnt like that did he! Seems to be uncomfortable straight after

I know the saying is believe none of what you read and only half of what you see but anybody who questions that he didnt hurt his hand needs to have themselves a litle sit down in front of the mirror. Your probably gonna see what we all see. An idiot!

Sorry but questioning the validity of an injury after a fight is one thing. Doing it when there is pretty undisputable evidence is another, and quite frankly its baffling that people would dispute it now.

Yea he hurt his hand alright.. apart from that massive head, he also hit a lot of shoulder with that right hand.. He could have tko'ed him if he was more busy, but after the fight I understood why... just my opinion..

He showed the hands when in the studio on SkySports News yesterday and the righthand was much larger than the left due to the swelling.

Looks like your wrong, Riz.

I originally thought it was a convenient excuse, but the moment I saw his hands on GMTV, I just thought 'OWWWW!'

Unless he was injecting something into his hands post fight then yeah he hurt it, and pretty well to. His hand is swollen to hell.

I saw the swelling and bruising on sky sports and thought it would silence the doubters. However I am now awaiting the 'Haye hit his hand with a hammer to save face' type comments.
