crazy - the man must train like a demon, he is always around 215-220. Compared to the man on the street he's awesome but in the game hes in the caveman will do the business as holy fights only a bit better than a 46 year old _________________

People are picking Evander as it draws closer. If Valuev has slacked, it could be the difference between win or lose. _________________ Rocky 6 memorable quote!

Prelude to an 'ug;y win'....or an ugly loss, Evander can win ugly at times! _________________ Rocky 6 memorable quote!

That's the impression everyone is getting. The question is....is Valuev as bad as he seems. If he is, even an old worn out Evander may nick it. _________________ Rocky 6 memorable quote!

Well i have never seen Valuev as a impressive fighter, he is just a big bugger, although i must say he has improved alot, i really think its achievable for evander if he has the right gameplan and sticks to it _________________

--- When you're Evan Field, it comes very easy.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Evan win. Valuev is handicapped by not wanting this bout and not wanting to hit Evan. He's a sentient brute, not a beast. Add on the location, Switzerland, it has the stench of 1965 Lewiston, Maine all over it.
Valuev is no fool. If the Russian mafia tell him to dive, he will dive. He has a built in Oscar excuse of being light, overtrained which mitigates the ignomy and keeps him in the mix.
Anyone who has watched Evan knows he's in terrible straights. At the same time, they could sacrifice Evan if they think they can make more money out of future Valuev bouts.
Toney would be the perfect freak show. Let's not forget that Chagaev has had injuries that have allowed Evan to step into 2 straight title challenges on the strength of his Oquendo "victory" where he was literally unable to throw or land but one punch which happened to be an early KD of the hapless Fres.
Fres just shut out Toney, losing the bout by wide decision. Povetkin mysteriously suffered a Chagaev style injury, allowing Rahman to step in. Last time Rahman looked good was pitching a masterclass over Toney, yet only securing a draw many years back. He barely showed up for the rematch, quit, and boom, title shot.
Let's not overlook the long arm of Con King in this. I can accept legit injuries, it's the bogus replacements that stink up the joint.
Otherwise, Niko hands out the beatdown of the year. _________________

I predict Valuev to win easily by UD. Evander may nick a round or two early on but I think scores of 118-110, 119-109 or possibly 120-108 in favour of the hairy beast are not inconceivable. |
