The pair of them are over here at the moment doing after dinner speaking, and promoting Joe's book.

They ended up in the nearest Irish bar to where I live, after last nights assignment. Joe Egan seems a great entertainer, willing to give a bit of his afer dinner anecdotes to those of us in the bar.

The bit which struck me most though was the condition of Robin Reid. He looks like he could go back in the ring immediately. Fantastic shape, even his face has that finely chiselled look. The complete opposite of young Ricky Hatton. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Edit.... He was understandably concerned for David Haye if the giant is still standing at the end of their fight in Hamburg.

Robin Reid used to be a model like Haye, so might well have gone back to that - I imagine he's in the habit of keeping in shape by now.

Probably right there Gav. I heard them both telling a fella they were both working in some new film Guy Ritchie is making. Joe Egan also told us he had worked for Ritchie before and some actor called ............ Downey Jr had to beat him up in a film. Apparently he was amazed at the money he got ( more than any purse he was paid ) and told the actor, not to worry about really hitting him for that kind of dough. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Big Joe and tyson are over here tomorrow night, tyson doing a stand up show with Mcguigian (on the same night as two big boxing shows? I don't know why ffs) Hopefully Joe and tyson will find their way to the "Only Show in Town". Made sure I got my VIP back stage / party passes today Laughing

I've met Big Joe Egan a few times now, a real gent but also a class act when it comes to public speaking etc.
