... Or has the welterweight boat sailed, he'd be too weight drained?

No I dont think so. It was the main reason why I was so against the Pavlik fight. Say he beat Pavlik but then the next few proper money making fights for him were say Berto, Sugar Shane, Pacman & Mayweather and they were all willing to fight him. He instantly takes those fights pushing the Middleweight titles even further in to obscurity than they are now.

I know Williams struggles to find opponents but part of that is due to his bouncing all over the weight classes. What he should have done is forced the top guys hands. Win number one contender fights and titles etc. to force the top guys in the ring. The way hes gone about his career is arse about face in my opinion. He never got in to the top spot at 147 but he expected the top fights. If he wanted to get Mayweather in the ring then youve gotta force his hand. Youve gotta make him think he can gain from it.

Im a big fan of Williams. I dont think hes as unbeatable as he would have you believe. I think Quintana laid the blueprint by just being quicker than him and frustrating him in to lunging forward. If he pulled that against a Mayweather, Pacman, I even think Sugar Shane is quicker than him, he would come unstuck though.

Doubtful. He's all about throwing a lot of punches and I reckon he'd struggle at welter now.

Best bet for a big fight is to call out Mosely at 154 after he beats Berto while Pac and Mayweather fight.

I think he can do it but the top guys at 147 do not want to fight him because of his size and freakish reach advantage. I am also a big fan of his but think he can try to clean up the 154 division, then move up to take on Pavlik at 160. Good point about fighting to get himself into the no.1 contention position and forcing their hand. He is too big for Pacquaio, he looked taller than Pavlik when he stood next to him so he would tower over Pacquiao.

I think he actually throws less now then he did at welter... it was only a year and a half ago that he was at 147.

I think he could still fight there, but he's definitely better in other weight classes. Th reason I think why he's fighting in different weight classes, is BECAUSE other guys wont' fight him. i mean that's why he went up to middleweight, back to 154, and back up. He'll go where he gets an opponent.

Margarito rejected a rematch at welterweight and elected to fight Mosley instead for 2 million. That was in Januaryish, so I think if Paul needed to, he could go back to 147. I agree though, if Mosley gets by Berto, he can fight Williams, but I don't think it'll happen because up till now Mosley never mentioned Paul and I don't think he'll ever fight him to be honest.

Mosley is beaten by good jabbers, and Paul has a pretty good one, along with another bunch of punches he throws, especially that around the arm uppercut.
