Small/McDonagh
Wow!
What the hell was that?
I have never seen him fight that poorly before.
What was with those overhand rights?
All due respect to McDonagh but Small should have probably got him out of there inside 6 tonight.
Brodie/Crolla
I didnt see his first comeback fight but from what I saw from Brodie tonight its really time to hang them up. Hes been a great British Boxer in the past and on will power alone he deserved a World title but thats come and gone now. Hes not gonna get back to Brit level in my opinion.
Scott Quigg
I heard a bit about this lad but tonight was my first experience watching him.
I was extremely impressed. He rushed his work a bit at times but he looked very very solid and seems to have a cracking right hand on him.
I know its early to say but he gave me the sort of feeling I got when I first saw Kell Brook. Quick, strong, potential for knockouts with what looks like every punch he throws. Im sure Brook is going to be a World Champ. I want to see more from Quigg but from what I saw tonight he could be a big threat even up with the big boys at World level.
I know, I know, its only the first time Ive seen him etc. I just had that feeling watching him. _________________ Kelly looked up from his Blackberry. “I don’t know about you,” he told his father. “But Edison Miranda scared the shit out of me.”

The main fight was horrendous, the first half was like watching two blokes having a dance off.
Brodie/Crolla.
I was at Brodie's comeback and whilst he came back well he got put down twice by a non puncher. I spoke to Michael afterwards and I think that will be the last time we see him in the ring.
Quigg
Brian Hughes thinks he will reach the top, but has a lot to learn, but the kid can certainly fight. Only 15 amateur fights and from a Muay Thai background _________________ Someone once tried to tell Chuck Norris that roundhouse kicks aren't the best way to kick someone. This has been recorded by historians as the worst mistake anyone has ever made. |

Small is a frustrating fighter at times - he's got loads of talent but just seems to switch off in a lot of fights - like he's bored fighting at the level he's at. _________________ "Though I'd rather hear you cheer

I watched the first 4 rounds in the pub, decided I'd seen enough and left, walked to the supermarket to get some food. _________________ `

I dont like Anthony Small one bit. He needs to shut up and put up before he gets any credit in my book. Been wasting time at the same level for years. _________________ The Greatest |

I had kinda started coming around to Small and actually felt a little sorry for him when the fight with Rhodes fell through.
Last night has ensured that I will never watch him fighting again. It was the most piss poor fight I've seen in my entire life.
I like a bit of show-boating from fighters but last night was just too much with not enough to back it up. |

The Small v Mcdonagh fight was shocking. Small was brilliant against Hall in his last fight, but against Mcdonagh he was awful. How can 1 man be so different in 2 fights? I feel so sorry for the people who went to the arena and paid for that rubbish. He has excellent skills and showed a real big heart against Hall but he seemed uninterested in the Mcdonagh fight. He can go on to challenge at the top level but needs to sort his head out first and prove he deserves to be at that level. I'd like to see a rematch with Bradley Price, who TKO'd him. |

I like Small but he should have got a slap for imitating a boxer last week, terrible showing, that's why it's always dodgy to shout your mouth off before a fight saying your one of the best in the world then perform like that, but Small would only say the best in the world have a bad day at the office sometimes
Felt bad for Brodie, he can still put in the body shots but you could see he was much slower & just missing a step, he was right there to be hit & seemed to be wobbled quite a few times before the finish. I've enjoyed watching him over the years, cracking style but I hope we don't see him boxing again. |
